Using with a GoPro clone

Has anybody any experience of using the Mobile 2 with a GoPro style cheap action camera? The type I'm thinking of does 4k at 30fps but has no wifi.

I used a GoPro knock-off once. Promised 4k but the image quality was some of the worst video I've seen in a decade. The one I used was complete garbage. I got much better quality using my old GoPro 3 and handheld gimbal. Sorry I can't comment on the Mobile 2. Haven't used it. Gimbal I was using was the Smooth-Q (but I haven't used that since I got the Osmo Pocket.
