The Southern Black Forest is home to the highest mountains in the region.
The whole Black forest is the largest low mountain range in Germany.
The name of the region is given by the Romains because of the characteristic dark coniferous trees Silva Nigra. This green lung is a true paradise and the historic sites, little villages and towns are a feast for the eyes.
